FORE Australia Overview
"Better policy starts with better access to great ideas."
- Lucy Skelton (Founder)
FORE Australia is a youth-led, non-partisan not for profit working to make public policy reform faster and fairer.
We collaborate with academics, NGOs, peak bodies and people with lived experience to catalogue expert-led policy ideas into a central online resource of one-page briefs — FORE’s Policy Library — built for public servants, staffers and politicians.
The Policy Library doesn’t replace detailed reports. It makes them easier to find and engage with. By distilling complex ideas into clear, comparable briefs, we help ensure good solutions are seen — and therefore more likely to progress. We often say: you can't act on solutions we don't know exist.
Alongside this work, FORE Australia runs large-scale, inclusive training programs that give people from all backgrounds practical policy experience while contributing to a national resource designed to support evidence-based decision-making.
Overview:
Too often, expert-led, evidence-based solutions don’t reach decision-makers at the right time or in the right format—stalling progress and missing critical moments for reform.
The problem:
Our Impact (so far!):

-

How is FORE Australia funded?
FORE Australia is a youth-led, not for profit that began as a fully volunteer-run organisation. In late 2025, we received our first major philanthropic support from the Snow Foundation. Today, our work is funded through a mix of philanthropic support, training and event revenue.
While we run on a small budget, our impact continues to grow. We are actively seeking funding to expand our capacity, support our team, and ensure that more well-researched policy solutions reach the right decision-makers. If you’re interested in supporting our work, we’d love to hear from you (info@foreaustralia.com).
